Make sure the surface is smooth, clean, and intact. Remove any protruding elements, loose paint, or uneven spots. Fill and sand imperfections as needed. Avoid installing wallpaper directly on painted walls, as it may prevent proper adhesion. Instead, sand and dust the wall first, then apply a wallpaper primer for the best result. Highly absorbent surfaces (such as plasterboard) must be pre-treated before gluing.
