Mixing the Adhesive

Most adhesives need to be mixed in stages, with resting periods between each phase to allow for thickening.

Wallpaper Installation Instructions

Preparation

Before you begin, ensure you have the correct number of wallpaper panels and that there are no visible defects. Cut the mural into strips along the guide lines and lay them on the floor in order.

Start applying from the left corner of the wall, working toward the right. The strips must be placed edge to edge—do not overlap. It’s crucial that the first strip is perfectly vertical. (Pro tip: Use a pencil to mark the top edge of the first strip, then use a plumb line to draw a straight vertical guide on the wall.)

Applying the Adhesive

Apply the adhesive directly to the wall, making sure the glue is spread evenly across the surface. Missed spots will cause bubbles where the wallpaper won’t stick. Cover the area for about one and a half panels at a time. Carefully align the strips side by side, leaving no gaps between them. Pay extra attention to the edges of each panel—they must be properly glued to prevent lifting.

Preventing Damage

It’s common for excess glue to ooze out at the seams. Wipe off any excess immediately with a clean, damp sponge—never let glue dry on the wallpaper surface, as it may leave stains. Always rinse the sponge in clean water only. Use a rubber roller or soft brush to smooth the wallpaper from top to bottom and from the center outwards, pressing it gently against the wall. If any area does not adhere properly, gently lift the strip, apply more glue, and smooth it back down.

Final Steps

Once you’ve completed the entire wall, trim any excess at the top and bottom using a sharp utility knife—never tear the wallpaper. After installation, keep the room at a stable, normal room temperature for 24 hours to allow the adhesive to dry evenly.
